[9] Unlike often said, Thoth-Amon, a character issued from the Conan cycle, doesn't have much to do with Thulsa Doom. He is a powerful stygian sorcerer, but all Stygia worships the serpent god Set. Thoth-Amon has no worshipers, no sect under his command, doesn't plunder Hyborian kingdoms in his youth in search for steel... He is not either Conan's worst enemy, as depicted by de Camp and comic books. He only appears in one story and is only mentioned in others. Except from Set, no connection.
