Ron Cobb
(Métal Hurlant #74 bis, April 1982):
As long as our relationship with the production is concerned, most of the time, it was chaos. The fact that three different movie companies dealt with various operations regarding the film only made things worse. Dino De Laurentiis was the producer, Universal distributed the film in the United States and the 20th Century Fox everywhere else. This mixture caused confusion right from the beginning. For publicity, for example, there was no official logo for the movie during a very long time, and the job was done in a state of panic: no advertising campaign was prepared, and so on. They indefinitely handed on the responsibilities from one to another, and that made the life harder for quite a few people."
